Tony Mosley, Managing Director

 
Tony Mosley, Managing Director.
Tony is an experienced railway professional with good engineering and commercial skills, having been involved in the industry for the last twenty five years. Working in a variety of engineering, operations and commercial roles has given him in-depth knowledge and insight allowing him to take on challenging roles and to manage major projects including depot construction and enhancements, fleet maintenance and major vehicle modifications. In his last role, working as Managing Director in the private sector, he was responsible for starting and developing the country's largest independent railway maintainer.

His business development and project management skills are a key to the development and growth of Resco.

 

Rob Redfern, Managing Director

 
Rob Redfern, Engineering Director.
Rob is a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years professional experience as a rolling stock engineer, including experience in design, specification and procurement of rail vehicles, in particular electric locomotives and diesel and electric multiple units. He has detailed experience of manufacturing practices and techniques and has a wide knowledge of railway operations, maintenance, design and development in the UK and overseas. Rob has held a number of senior positions in the Industry; as an Executive Consultant with AEA Technology Rail and for three years managing Halcrow Rail/Transmark's worldwide rolling stock consultancy.

 

Neil Heaton, Director and Principle Consultant

 
Neil Heaton, Director and Principle Consultant.
Neil has working in the rolling stock maintenance field since joining British Rail in 1974, he has worked in all sectors covering maintenance of diesel and electric locomotives and multiple units, coaching stock and high speed passenger vehicles. He has been heavily involved in the development of maintenance support contracts covering all aspects of maintenance from maintenance strategy to depot design for all types of vehicles. Neil was formally head of rolling stock maintenance for Siemens responsible for the UK Desiro projects and has more recently working for a number of Train Operating Companies on various maintenance projects. He has also worked for a number of overseas clients in Europe, Asia and Australia on new trains projects.

 

Rick Edmondson, Chairman

 
Rick Edmondson, Chairman.
Although not from the old British Railways, Rick has good engineering experience, having owned and run a number of railway engineering companies over the last 20 years. He has also been Chairman of a number of high quality, safety critical manufacturing organisations, with up to 1000 employees and has a deep understanding of the management process. He is passionate about safety and customer service and demands that Resco provides World Class service in all it's dealings with clients and other stakeholders in the railway industry.

 

Nich Walker, Senior Consultant and Business Development Manager

 
Nich Walker, Senior Consultant
and Business Development Manager.

Nich is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with in-depth experience in the UK rail industry as a rolling stock engineer and also in the fields of business development and project management. He has considerable experience in the manufacturing and overhaulling of railway vehicles and components, particularly wheelsets, and managing fleet modifications. Nich has also led a number of successful process improvements applying manufacturing techniques including Kaizen. With Resco, Nich continues to deploy his strong business and project management skills, together with expertise in business development and key account management to help us achieve our continuing business aims.

 

Mark Brinton, Senior Consultant

 
Mark Brinton, Senior Consultant.
Having worked in rolling stock engineering since 1974, Mark is an experienced locomotive and vehicle maintainer and was a technical performance manager for a large TOC. He has experience of project management and engineering of vehicle modifications. He is a qualified safety and quality auditor and D33 Assessor, has an NVQ Level 4 in Management and wide experience of compentency assessment systems.

 

Geoff Armstrong, Senior Consultant

 
Geoff Armstrong, Senior Consultant.
Geoff has 25 years professional railway engineering experience initially specialising in diesel engine development and then spending a period of 16 years in vehicle testing and commissioning. The commissioning role involved both technical and operational aspects of the service introduction of new vehicles. He then became involved in new business initiatives for a major infrastructure service provider where new technical disciplines and operating practices were implemented. More recently Geoff has project managed a national video survey project on behalf of Network Rail.

 

Ian Rutherford, Senior Consultant

 
Ian Rutherford, Senior Consultant.
Ian has worked in railway engineering for almost 40 years, undertaking commissioning, modification and refurbishment of all classes of electric traction. He has a SVQ Level 4 in Management and has managed maintenance depots within passenger and freight businesses. He has many years experience in health and safety and quality systems, and also, more recently, dealt with warranty and performance issues regardong Turbostars.

 

John Craik, Senior Consultant

 
John Craik, Senior Consultant.
John is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants. He has recently been acting as railways adviser and field manager for all ODA railway projects, particularly in Africa. He is currently involved in the privatisation of Tanzania Railways as a member of the Supervisory Mission advising the Government of Tanzania. John started his career in Crewe Locomotive works, in the days of steam, and subsequently expanded his career within the former British Railways board culminating in him being a Director of Transmark

 

Consultants

 
Other Consultants and Sub-Contractors.
Our core of permanent staff is supplemented and extended as necessary with a number of consultants and sub-contractors. This process is transparent to our customers but allows us to provide a flexible and responsive service, without carrying unnecessary overheads or worrying about peaks and troughs in our business. The work of consultants and sub-contractors is always closely monitored by the appropriate Resco Senior Consultant

 

Andy Thurston, Finance Director

 
Andy Thurston, Finance Director.
Andy is responsible for all financial management, information services and executive and office support across Resco. He joined Resco in January 2008 with a record of achievement in blue chip companies in engineering and professional services environments.

 

Steph Wheldon, Office Manager

 
Steph Wheldon, Office Manager.
Steph manages the day to day operation of the Resco business, coordinating the activities of Senior Consultants and other technical staff with the administration and business support staff in Belper. In addition she manages a number of certificate databases on behalf of various clients, ensuring that information is continuously kept up to date and that any requests for support or information are dealt with quickly and efficiently. In carrying out her role, Steph is able to draw on her considerable experience of the UK rail industry, having previously worked for British Rail and AEA Technology Rail.

 

Natasha Edmonds, Office Assistant

 
Natasha Edmonds, Office Assistant.
Natasha assists Steph and the other Resco staff on a day-to-day basis, providing support during the preparation of proposals, the submission of documentation to clients and by ensuring that appropriate records are maintained. Natasha also acts as the first point of contact for many clients when contacting the Belper Office, answering the phones and greeting visitors.
